The FBA Education Department is dedicated to providing quality educational events covering topics that are timely, beneficial, and valuable to your bank. Our goal is to give each attendee a thorough working knowledge of the subject presented, to be applied at their desks the very next day. As you review the links below you will find a full schedule of events, via several different delivery venues, throughout the year.

Six different venues are now available to you for continuing your banking education through the FBA. Click on the links below for more information.

Audio/Video Taped Courses. This option offers you a selection of current educational topics, recorded from past webinars, via the internet.

We also offer you the option to schedule in-house training sessions. Contingent on speaker availability, you can now hold training sessions on most topics, at your own institutions, with the same speakers that FBA employs at the face-to-face seminars scheduled around the state. All topics or speakers may not be available at all times of the year. Please contact Pete Brokaw to discuss the details.

We know that determining how much to budget each year for continuing education can be challenging at times. In an effort to help you in this annual process, we have created an Excel spreadsheet that details all of the currently scheduled FBA educational events with the associated registration fee. There are spaces to add how many people you will be sending, and the associated travel expense for each event. Just plug in the numbers and the final amount needed to budget will be calculated for you. You can download this small file by clicking here, or on the link at the bottom of this page. If you have trouble accessing this budgeting tool please contact Pete Brokaw and he will be able to assist you.

We are pleased to announce that the Florida Banker’s Association and the College of Technology & Management at St. Petersburg College have agreed that graduates from the Florida School of Banking are eligible to receive six credits towards the College’s accredited baccalaureate degree in Banking. Click here for much more information on this new partnership.

We encourage you to search through the links on this page and see the events and courses FBA has available to help you in your continuing education efforts.
