Dr. Fishkind’s career began in the public sector where he worked as an economist and Associate Professor at the University of Florida. In 1980 Dr. Fishkind became the Associate Director for Programs, University of Florida’s Bureau of Economic and Business Research. During his tenure at the University, Dr. Fishkind served for three years (1979-1981) on the Governor’s Economic Advisory Board. Dr. Fishkind began his career as a private sector consultant when he became president of M.G. Lewis Econometrics in Winter Park, Florida. In 1988 Dr. Fishkind formed Fishkind & Associates, Inc. as a full service economic and financial consulting firm. He formerly served as Regional Counsel for the Memphis Regional Office of the FDIC with responsibility for all legal matters, including cease and desist and other enforcement actions. Mr. Gerrish is an accomplished author, lecturer and participates in various banking-related seminars. He also is or has been a member of the faculty of the Independent Community Bankers of America Community Bank Ownership and Bank Holding Company Workshop, The Southwestern Graduate School of Banking Foundation, the Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking, the Pacific Coast Banking School, the Colorado Graduate School of Banking and has taught at the FDIC School for Commissioned Examiners and School for Liquidators. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Maryland and received his law degree from George Washington University’s National Law Center. He is a member of the Maryland, Tennessee and American Bar Associations and was selected as one of “The Best Lawyers in America” for 2005, 2006 and 2007. |

Charlie is the President and CEO of The Bank of Commerce in Sarasota, Florida. He was born in Palatka, Florida and raised in Lakeland, Florida. He attended the University of Florida and received a degree in Banking and Finance in 1975. He began his banking career while in college and upon graduation was recruited for the management associate program at Exchange Bank in Tampa. After advancing through numerous responsibilities, he was named President and CEO of Exchange Bank of Sarasota in 1981. He served as President and CEO of SunBank of Sarasota from 1985 to 1991 and as Chairman and CEO of SouthTrust Bank of Sarasota from 1991 to 1999.

Farin is a financial services consulting firm that provides asset/liability management solutions, retail product pricing solutions and Web products and services. Dr. Parliment serves on the faculty of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He is a featured speaker at a number of programs sponsored by state, regional and national trade associations. Dr. Parliment serves on the board of directors of three community banks. As a director and Chairman of Audit, Asset/Liability Management, and Loan Committees, he is familiar with the increasing responsibilities and challenges that directors face in a post-Sarbanes-Oxley world. J. Lamar Roberts has been president of four Florida banks over the last 36 years. Since 1992 he has been president of First National Bank of Pasco in Dade City, Florida. He has been very active in the banking industry, serving as a director and lecturer at the Florida School of Banking, and a guest lecturer at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He has served as president of the Florida Bankers Association and director, as well as member of the Executive Committee of the Independent Community Bankers of America. Mr. Roberts has also served as director and Chairman of the Board of the Independent Bankers’ Bank of Florida, as well as director and chairman of the Florida Bankers Insurance Trust.

Mark has been quoted extensively in the financial press and is in popular demand as a keynote speaker and chairperson at financial services events and conferences in the US and overseas. He is renowned for his in-depth industry knowledge and his ability to predict future business and technology trends. Mark’s financial services career began 28 years ago when he joined HSBC – one of the world’s largest banks - in the United Kingdom. During his nearly 13 years at the bank, Mark held a variety of senior business management and operational roles within the bank’s Consumer Banking and Card & Payment Services divisions. In 1991, he joined MasterCard International in Brussels, Belgium and was responsible for Europe-wide marketing and commercial services covering sales management, corporate communications, fraud management and business/ IT management. In 1997, Mark became president and CEO of Payment Systems, Inc. in Tampa, FL. In March, 2000, he was subsequently recruited by Reuters Venture Capital to become president & CEO of the TowerGroup, a leading research and advisory company focused on the financial services sector. In 2004, Mark managed the sale of TowerGroup to MasterCard International and joined Fiserv following the agreed sale transition period.
