v

“Topics were covered at a high level which provides information applicable to all levels of staff at any organization.”

v

“All said - this was probably the best one of these compliance conferences FBA has held. Lots of good issues being openly discussed.”

v

“The choices of three and four compliance tracks was very useful since I’m new to compliance and I could select from the basic courses.”

v

“The variety of emerging issues presented on the first day were worth the price of admission.”

v

“I thought I knew the compliance rules, but I learned about some changes I had never heard before.”

v

“This program continues to be the best compliance value around. It gives my bank valuable resource information that I can begin to use right away – both from the speakers and from the other bankers in attendance!”

The answers to your compliance related questions will be found at the Florida Bankers Association’s 26th Annual Consumer Compliance Seminar...the program that continues to meet the needs and consistently exceeds the expectations of Florida’s bank compliance professionals. This is the program that, for a quarter of a century, has grown along with the rising expectations and demands of this evolving discipline. This is the event that continues as the PREMIER consumer compliance educational event in the state. Once again, this seminar brings together a diverse offering of topics, solutions, and presenters...from nationally recognized experts to regional and local regulators and examiners. Join us in Orlando for the event that has become the largest and most significant statewide compliance offering in Florida.

Five Good Reasons for this Seminar

v

No surprises! Your bank’s board of directors, management, and stakeholders expect full compliance, and your auditors and examiners expect no less!

v

Meet the rapidly changing demands of compliance. The pace of change has never been more rapid, and the expectations have never been higher. This program continues to meet and exceed all expectations year after year.

v

This year's program “Compliance Challenges: Bridge to the Past...Preparing for the Future” looks at the nuances and enforcement of reform, new law and regulation, along with how today’s compliance professionals deal with these changes.

v

More bang for the buck...without leaving the state! The 26th Annual Consumer Compliance Seminar will again feature an unparalleled group of speakers and topics; bringing insight and experience to help understand how these changes will affect bankers in Florida.

v

Value added benefits! For banks closely watching the bottom line, this program is still the best value around. Consider that participation in this program is NOT an expense to the bottom line; rather, it’s an INVESTMENT that will pay huge dividends!

What’s New This Year?
In 26 years, 2010 and 2011 have never seen so many far-reaching compliance changes at the same time. This year again identifies a series of current and pending changes of general interest, and the program is arranged to consolidate topics accordingly. For example, day 1 includes a general session discussion of many of these issues, followed by a series of detailed analysis presented by topic. Day 2 encompasses consumer lending and deposit/operations “essentials” sessions, opposite a variety of “toolbox,” “dashboard,” and best practices” topics affecting lending, deposit/operations, BSA/AML, anti-fraud, and related subjects. Day 3 is devoted to several areas of impact given the current economic climate...from customer service, to community and fair lending, to responsiveness to customer complaints, collections, and confidence.

Important Peer Exchange
Best of all, the program offers a unique and recurring opportunity for peer exchange. Some Florida compliance professionals have attended every year, while others have only recently discovered the benefits of bringing a friend. Sharing experiences among peers and applying “lessons learned” from presenters has contributed to the continuing “value-added” success of the program. This combination has made the “take-away” benefits invaluable.

There are insights from key people at both national and regional persepectives:

v

The Florida Commissioner of Banking, Tom Cardwell (invited)

v

The Director of the American Bankers Association’s Center for Regulatory Compliance, Richard Riese

v

National, regional and local representatives of each banking regulatory agency

v

Nationally recognized “gurus” of bank compliance, including bankers, consultants, and practitioners

Added Benefits

v

Every attendee receives an extensive manual of program materials to take home. This is both a teaching tool and take-home reference.

v

Professional education credits are available for those certified compliance professionals. (CRCM)

v

Each attendee will receive a certificate of attendance.

v

This year’s event will again feature an exhibit hall, with vendor and special displays of cutting-edge compliance products and services.

v

And as always, time will allow for informal, one-on-one visits with the speakers and presenters, including all the regulatory representatives in attendance.

Value Added Cost Benefit
As a manager and compliance professional, you recognize the continuing pressure to achieve success and to respond to failures. You continue to look for ways to work smarter and more effectively, and to generate the desired results. This program will provide more value-added cost-benefit than any seminar of its kind. Judging by last year’s success, it was among the largest and most varied and wide-ranging ever. Join your friends and colleagues this year for the state’s best known and longest running continuous statewide compliance educational event. Help us celebrate the 26th anniversary of this event and the program’s theme of “Compliance Challenges: Bridge to the Past...Preparing for the Future.”

Who Should Attend?
All compliance and regulatory risk officers, compliance support staff, examination liaison personnel, legal, audit/review managers and staff, operations specialists, those involved with lending and deposit-related compliance functions, BSA/AML specialists, fraud investigators and security specialists, and any members of the Compliance Committee. This event is designed for those with various levels of experience; from those with new compliance assignments to supervisors to experienced veterans; for first-timers or those needing a little refresher or “exam-prep.”

CRCM & CLBB Certification Continuing Education
The 2010 seminar qualified for 19.50 Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) and 12.75 Certified Lender Business Banker (CLBB) continuing education credits toward these certification programs of the Institute of Certified Bankers. We are anticipating the same for 2011.
