INTRODUCTION TO CONSUMER LENDING 2008

Consumer debt has steadily increased over the past five years and has reached alarming levels. For this reason, it is important for bankers to tighten their lending practices to insure the next consumer applicant is not becoming overextended and unable to meet their obligations. This seminar introduces the consumer lending process from the initial application to closing and documentation. It will follow the steps required to successful consumer lending including the: Application, Interview, Investigation, Evaluation, Decision, Regulation and Documentation. The method of instruction will utilize case studies to reinforce the concepts presented in the course and improve the quality of the credit decision.

Meet the Speaker
David Kemp
is President of Bankers Management, Inc., a nationally recognized company in financial services training and bank consulting. Previous to forming his own company, he served as Vice President, Director of Credit Services - Cannon Financial Institute in Athens, Georgia, where he trained bankers nationwide in Cannon Lending Schools, as well as through Banking Associations, and in tailored credit and sales training sessions for individual financial institutions. Mr. Kemp has more than twenty years experience and management responsibility in the areas of consulting, training, credit administration and new business development. His areas of expertise include: all types of commercial lending, consumer lending, portfolio management, real estate lending, workouts and director responsibilities.
