EDUCATION

Graduates of the Florida School of Banking (FSB) are now eligible to receive college credit towards a BAS in Banking degree!

The Florida Banker’s Association and the College of Technology & Management at St. Petersburg College have agreed that FSB graduates will receive credit towards the College’s accredited baccalaureate degree in Banking.

Marking another step in the productive collaboration between the Florida Bankers Association and St. Petersburg College, this arrangement demonstrates our joint commitment to the education of Florida’s bankers. It also recognizes the caliber of the Florida School of Banking, making it one of the very few professional banking schools in the US to earn such a distinction.

The collaboration between the Florida School of Banking and St. Petersburg College is patterned after arrangements used by the University of South Carolina and the State University of New York.

Here’s how it works. Under the arrangement a Florida School of Banking (FSB) graduate enrolling in the St. Petersburg College BAS in Banking degree program will receive six (6) credits towards the degree. The credits will be awarded only upon successful completion and graduation from the FSB. This arrangement is retroactive to 2007* FSB graduates.

Current FSB students who enroll in the BAS in Banking program before completing the FSB program are also eligible to receive the six credits, but only upon their successful completion and graduation from the FSB program.
