SUPERVISORY EXCELLENCE FOR BANKERS

Today’s bank supervisors need more than technical banking skills to meet the changing demands of their jobs. Supervisory Excellence for Bankers is a new FBA program designed to give first-line supervisors the tools and skills they need to give your bank’s employees the quality supervision they need to perform at their best.

Designed by bankers for bankers, Supervisory Excellence is a fast–paced, 3-day program suitable for both new and experienced supervisors. Based on the principle of learning by doing, each session is highly interactive and provides the opportunity for lively discussion, hands-on skills practice and practical advice on how to apply supervisory “best practices” back on the job.

Program Objectives - Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

Assess his/her individual supervisory strengths and areas for improvement

Develop and implement a plan for improving targeted supervisory skills

Understand the role of the supervisor and its importance in supporting bank strategy

v

Create a positive work environment that enhances employee engagement and retention

Increase their emotional intelligence and “people skills”

Apply delegation and coaching tools and skills to establish, sustain and improve employee performance

Manage for results through application of the performance management cycle

Deal effectively with change and its challenges

Meet the Speakers
Edith Gandy
is President of TriSource Associates, A consulting group specializing in sales and management training, human resources consulting and executive coaching. Previous to this she was Vice President, Senior Consultant at Financial Training Resources and before that she was Executive Vice President, Trust and Investment Services, at SunBank of Tampa Bay. She is a nationally recognized consultant and speaker and teaches at the Florida School of Banking, the ABA Graduate Human Resources School, the Graduate School of Banking at LSU, and has taught seminars for the Georgia Bankers Association. She has been a speaker at a number of major national conferences including the ABA National Trust and Private Banking Conference, Financial Women International Conference, and the National Urban Bankers League Conference.

MaryGrace Moyer has supervised and managed people throughout the majority of her banking career. She is a graduate of the Florida School of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking of the South, and has served in multiple capacities within the banking industry, including human resources, branch management, retail investments, wealth management, and treasury management sales. She brings a wealth of practical experience as well as an understanding of today’s banking issues to each presentation.
