WHAT FINANCIAL REFORM
MEANS TO YOUR BANK
The passage of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Financial Protection Act will change the regulatory landscape for a wide variety of financial product and service providers and for big Wall Street firms. But how is it going to change life at your bank?
This two hour webinar will address the specific provisions of the Act that will change the regulatory structure and the ground rules for how banks operate and relate to their consumer customers and their service vendors. While the regulatory structure is still in place and most of the regulations are still to be promulgated, this webinar will tell you:
v What regulatory oversight will be for banks
v Whether the regulators will coordinate with each other and, if so, how.
v What existing laws and regulations have already been changed
- New “remitter” regulation
- New consumer residential mortgage requirements
- How the limitation on federal preemption affects bank holding company subsidiaries (and why state-chartered banks should care)
v What laws and regulations are scheduled to change
v How you can and should be involved in the regulatory process
v The timeline for change—What regulations are mandated and when must they take effect?
This webinar will offer a practical, plain-English survey of the provisions of the Act that will most directly affect Florida banks of all sizes and all charters.
