Housing affordability is a growing challenge for families across our state. The FBA advocates for policies that increase access to affordable mortgage lending, reduce regulatory barriers to new housing development, and expand public-private partnerships that help make homeownership and rental housing attainable for more residents.
FBA will convene banking leaders, policymakers, housing advocates and community partners for the Affordable Housing Summit on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at FAU. The afternoon program, Creative Solutions in Expanding Access to Affordable Housing in Florida, will explore one of Florida’s most pressing economic challenges through legislative updates, expert perspectives and collaborative discussions focused on practical solutions. The agenda includes a legislative outlook, a stakeholder panel featuring leaders from banking, housing finance, nonprofit organizations and community development, and opportunities for networking and collaboration.
“Affordable housing continues to impact communities, employers and Florida’s economic competitiveness,” FBA President & CEO Kathy Kraninger said. “By bringing together leaders from across the public and private sectors during this important week, we’re creating an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and collaborative solutions that can help strengthen communities throughout our state.”
