Sarah Oliver, CRCM, is a Director in the Financial Institution Advisory Group of Saltmarsh. Her primary areas of expertise include providing compliance reviews, assisting with special research matters and consulting on deposit and lending related regulations as well as marketing approaches for financial institutions. Other areas of expertise include FCRA and centralized compliance management systems. Prior to joining Saltmarsh, Sarah worked for small and large banks, gaining over a decade of experience through CFPB examinations and leading regulatory change and implementation teams.
Carolina Otalvaro, CAMS is Senior Vice President Compliance/BSA Officer at Cypress Bank & Trust, where she leads the bank’s BSA, AML, and financial crime, and the compliance management program. With more than 20 years in financial services and experience as a former regulator, she combines deep regulatory insight with a proven record of designing and implementing enterprise-wide compliance frameworks, managing complex remediation projects, and aligning risk management with business objectives. A Certified Anti‑Money Laundering Specialist and Northeastern University graduate in International Business and Finance, Carolina is a persuasive leader and regulator liaison who builds high-performing teams, drives measurable programmatic improvements, and cultivates a strong culture of compliance across the organization. She also serves on the board of the Central Florida Compliance Association, where she advances industry best practices and mentorship.
