Morgan Crowley is a senior manager from Wipfli LLP’s Atlanta office with over 7 years of experience in providing risk advisory, accounting, and auditing services, serving clients exclusively in the financial institution industry. Morgan is experienced in providing financial statement audit and outsourced internal audit services to a variety of private and public financial institutions.
She has particular expertise with CECL, SEC reporting, SOX internal control documentation, testing and consulting services for both accelerated filers and small reporting companies, as well as FDICIA compliance and consulting for financial institutions with greater than $1 billion in total assets. Morgan is a native to southeast Georgia, received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Georgia Southern University, and is a CPA. |

SHAZAM’s Speaker’s Bureau delivers some of the highest-rated content and training at more than 100 meetings and conventions annually. Patrick also supports SHAZAM’s advocacy efforts at the state and federal level to ensure community financial institutions have a strong voice in the payments industry.

Bradley is a licensed CPA, CFA charterholder, and senior manager at HORNE where he specializes in serving clients in the financial institutions industry. He has extensive experience performing and managing a variety of internal audit and external assurance engagements for both publicly traded and private community banks, including those involving internal controls over financial reporting. Additionally, he provides consulting and advisory insights regarding risk management practices and collaborates with clients to proactively prepare for new accounting standards or regulatory requirements.
Bradley joined HORNE in 2017 and is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Banking & Finance as well as Accounting. In addition, Bradley graduated with honors from the Southeastern School of Banking. Bradley is an active Board member of his local community’s Habitat for Humanity organization and chairs the Banking Committee of the Mississippi Society of CPAs. |

Kathy Kraninger is the President & CEO of the Florida Bankers since November 2023. Immediately prior, Kraninger was the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Solidus Labs where she led the firm’s regulatory strategy and works to advance market integrity and responsible innovation in digital asset markets.
Previously, she served as the Senate-confirmed Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from December 2018 until January 2021, leading the 1,500-person independent, regulatory and law enforcement agency. She made her mark on all aspects of the agency’s mission and operations, particularly in facilitating innovation, promoting financial inclusion and leading through the economic uncertainty of the global pandemic. In addition, Kraninger served on the board of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Financial Stability Oversight Board, and as chair of the Federal Financial Institutions Examinations Council. Her distinguished public sector career spans senior roles at the Departments of Transportation and Homeland Security, the Office of Management and Budget, and in both the Senate and the House of Representatives. In her personal capacity, Kraninger serves on her parish’s Finance Committee and as an advisor to the American Cornerstone Institute, among other engagements. Kraninger graduated magna cum laude from Marquette University and earned a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the Pennsylvania and DC Bars. She served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine. |
Marty’s journey through the financial services industry since the1980’s positions ERMA Strategies, LLC to be a unique provider of strategic analytics and enterprise risk management for community banks across the United States.
Marty started his career as an executive manager at First Horizon National Corporation where over his 20-year career he had served as Chief Financial Officer, Head of Investor Relations and Strategic Planning, ALCO Chairperson and Chief Economist. As CFO, Marty guided First Horizon through four years of Sarbanes-Oxley and directed the Treasury, Tax, Controller, M&A, Strategic Planning, and Investor Relations Departments. Marty’s experience at First Horizon has helped him gain a strong understanding of the banking industry which he has used to develop differentiated bank profitability analysis, risk measurement approaches, liquidity building tools, capital planning policies, and correlations of profitability to market valuations. Marty also led the Financial Institutions Group for Guggenheim Securities for seven years where he published research on the 25 largest banks in the U.S. This experience allowed Marty to generate the management analytics that he built at First Horizon from the outside of a bank looking in. As a result of this combination of experience and this differentiated analysis Marty’s teams have received numerous awards over his career: ranked first by Integrity Research and Investors’ performance, won Bank Analyst Annual Best Investor Relations at a Mid-Cap Bank award twice, and recognized by Investor Relations Magazine for one of the best Roadshows of any mid-sized company. Marty graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988 with the degree of Masters of Arts in Economics and from the University of Memphis with the degree of Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Economics in 1986. |
Connie Nelson is the EVP and CFO of United Southern Bank. She worked in public accounting prior to joining USB 32 years ago.
The Florida Bankers Association has provided her an outlet for spreading her passion for continuous education. She also serves on the board of the FBA Educational Foundation, is a Director at the Florida School of Banking, and is on the planning committee of the CFO Symposium. Alison Wester, CPA, is a partner with Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC. She received her BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia in 1996 and spent her career in the Atlanta office before relocating to join the office in Bradenton, Florida. Alison has worked on a variety of industries including financial institutions, governments, non-profits, manufacturing and others. She has currently focused her career on audits for financial institutions and governmental entities. She works on internal and external audits for both public and private companies, educational institutions, mortgage companies, credit unions, pension funds and other governmental entities. Additionally, her experience includes assisting clients with financial reporting, internal control opinion audits and HUD compliance audits. She has continued her professional education by attending a variety of audit and tax training classes, as well as, pursuing some additional knowledge in information technology. She regularly attends the AICPA’s National Conferences. Alison is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is licensed to practice in Florida and Georgia. She is active with a variety of trade organizations as both a speaker and attendee.

Eric Wimbush is Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta (FHLBank Atlanta). In addition to his role at FHLBank Atlanta, Eric is also Partner and Director of Operations for Seraphim Wealth Advisors Inc. (SWAI), an Atlanta-based registered fiduciary investment advisory firm.
Eric has more than 20 years of consultative and strategic sales experience, including prior roles with Edward Jones Investments, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Eric earned a Bachelor’s in Finance from Wofford College and a Master’s in Business Administration and Finance from Georgia State University. He also holds Series 7, 63, 79, and 66 licenses as well as licensing for Life, Health, and Variable Insurance Products. |
