The Florida Bankers Association’s Government Relations Department is primarily focused on protecting the interests of our membership at both the state and federal level. Through establishing relationships with key policymakers, FBA’s GR Team works alongside it’s Government Relations Council to set a legislative agenda which will assist our members in enhancing the economic vitality of the communities in which they serve.
Capitol Insight
Capitol Insight is published weekly during Florida’s Legislative Session to keep our members updated on the issues we are working on for our industry. To view the archived Capitol Insight issues, please log-in to the Members Only portal and then the "Members Only Content" dropdown.
Florida BankPac is a statewide, bi-partisan, non-profit political action committee organized by members of the Florida Bankers Association and managed by the committee’s Board of Directors. Its purpose is to financially support the campaigns of state and federal candidates who advocate a free and competitive marketplace. BankPac relies on the voluntary contributions of member banks and friends of the industry to achieve it’s objectives.
The Florida Bankers Association is made up of thousands of professional bankers across the state of Florida. While not every banker can visit Tallahassee or Washington, D.C. in person, each and every banker in the state can make their voice heard by responding to FBA’s Calls-to-Action.
Whenever a legislative or regulatory issue arises that requires the immediate attention of all of our members, a Call-to-Action may be issued via e-mail to inform our membership of the development and encourage them to contact their elected officials to have their voices heard.
When responded to in a timely fashion and in significant numbers, Calls-to-Action can help policy makers make more informed decisions about their constituents’ positions on a variety of topics. Together, FBA members can make a difference.
For more information on any FBA Call-to-Action, contact Anthony DiMarco by email or at (850) 224-2265.
