Continental Breakfast 9:00 am-10:30 am SESSION 1: “Comfortably Numb” Keynote Speaker: Dr. Jeffrey J. Roach, PhD, Chief Economist, LPL Financial 1. Why the title? There is a behavioral component to persistently high prices. Consumers are dealing with 18% inflation since the end of 2019 but disposable personal incomes are up roughly 26%, more than offsetting the rise in prices. 2. What is different this time? As our economy ages, we are getting less interest rate sensitive. I will discuss the reasons we are less sensitive to Fed policy at this stage relative to previous cycles. 3. Where are the opportunities? Given the dynamics of the consumer, we see opportunities in fixed income and in equity markets. I will discuss reasons to be overall constructive on risk-taking despite the economic headwinds. 10:30 am-10:45 am Break 10:45 am-11:45 am SESSION 2: Special Needs Trusts Panel Discussion
